The marvelous advantage of narrow boat cruising is that once you have been through our extensive ‘Introduction and Training Programme, you really are masters of your own holiday destiny.

As long as you follow the principles of the tuition process presented by the friendly and knowledgeable trainer, the Waterways Code and use your common sense, you will have a great time. This wonderful time on the waterways can be enjoyed at your own pace.

There is no need to get anywhere in a hurry, there are no targets. The point is that you aren’t really trying to get anywhere as such. The whole principle is about you winding down, it’s about sharing your time together, it’s about working as a team and crewing the boat, it is about seeing life from a new or totally different perspective. This is the ultimate holiday for relaxation.

This fascinating waterway surprises you at every corner, at every lock and at every milestone. Cruise under bridges, moor up next to pubs, exercise your legs on the towpath and breathe in the deep country air.
